Hold Attack
After a victim has lost against a Grab Attack, the attacker may opt for a Hold Attack if they are skilled in any holds (per their martial art).
The attacker chooses which attribute to use (Strength, Wisdom, Dexterity) and makes an Opposed Roll with the defender. Success means that the victim's body part is "Held."
- On the victim's turn, they may attempt to get out of the hold. The victim now gets to choose which attribute (Strength, Wisdom, Dexterity) will be used for the Opposed Roll. An escape attempt requires 1 attack.
- At the end of any round in which a victim is held, they take d2 pts. damage.
- A victim may not move, but they may attack with free limbs and/or small weapons wit a -2 penalty.
- Attacker may maintain the hold as long as they forfeit 1 attack per round and the victim does not escape.
- The attacker gets a +2 for any additional attacks or Opposed Ability checks against the victim if they are already held.
- If trained, the attacker may attempt to improve his Hold to a Lock via a Lock Attack.
