From the NewsLetter

He is Commander Gaius Manus, and he teaches tactics at CAMP, and he teaches from experience. The Leonin professor once served under King Brutus Clawrian, a Leonin petty king who's kingdom spread to hold more lands than any other since the fall of the Empire, most thanks to Commander Manus. When King Brutus was killed in battle, Gaius took his army to retreat, saving dozens of lives, and while most of them sign up with other Leonin armies, Gaius heads for the seas. On the waters he meets Stellio Copperfield, and the two become friends and adventure together. When the opening for Tactics Professor opens up Stellio recruits Gaius and Gaius has now been at the school for more than a decade, teaching a generation how to fight. He has also filled in as BattleBall coach on the occasion that Coach Atticus could not make it. Students who are smart and who learn from their mistakes tend to like the professor, those who don't, they normally end up failing.
