Air of the Elder Trees

A Mantle is a natural phenomenon generated by an Elder Tree. Mantles radiates for several miles from their source trees, creating an environment of life and peace. Plant life grows healthly, their colors brighter than natural. Sunlight is gentle and sweet on the skin. Rain may come, but storms never occur. The air itself seems to have a dim glow, causing even the darkest night to shine as twilight to those in the Mantle.

A natural part of Elder Trees, Elf have long studied the Magic of Mantles. Through this they learning to create artificial ones, though much more limited in nature. An artificial Mantle is created using ritual magic, centered on Umu Tree and Ama Tree. The range is limited, never extending more than a single mile from the tree, but the casters of the ritual have learned how to add protective magics to the Mantles at the time of creation. Many of these include the ability to hide the community from the outside world.
