the Children of the Elder Trees

Like the Ama Tree of Karasaanu, the Great Forest of the West, Umu trees were the descendants of the Elder Tree. They are in every way the same As an ama, with hundreds of tall thin trucks growing close together and radiated Daanan Magic. Elves would sculpt young Umu trucks as they grew, creating towns within the growing twisting trees. The only difference between the two tree typs is that Ama were those that grew in Karasaanu, while the Umu were trees growing beyond its borders. There is no other distinction between the two.

Both tree types, once abundant across Ethae, are slowly growing rarer and rarer. With only two remaining elder trees, few seeds come into the world in the modern day.
