According to the Sacred Codex, as well as myths from cultures across Ethae, Aterleg, the first tree, spread seven seeds across the continent. Each seed grew into a great tree, the seven elder trees of old. These trees grew high, some saying they touched the clouds. Their branches spread, shading the land below in warm protection. It is the elder trees that spread all other plant life across the world. Where they grew so did the Magic of the world, for Anon grew in them. The trees took the Solanon of the sun into their branches and the Kianon of the world into their roots and breathed out Daanan across the lands.
