Mernish
Tongue of the Mericans
Mernish, also known as Mericopa, is a distant descendant of Enisha, an ancient protolanguage to many modern western tongues. It is solely spoke by the Mericans of the Merico Islands. Isolated on their remote islands in early history, the Mericans developed their own dialects of this ancient language. Even after contact with the outside world the langauge survived into the modern day, even as so many other langauges have vanished with the coming of the the Common Tongue. It has remained a tradition on the islands to keep their heritage language alive through the generations. It is rarely taught to outsiders.
