Uatu, a yellow dwarf star, is one of the two solar bodies at the core of Alanspace. The star is a binary system with Juva, each circling the other in a twelve-hundred-year orbit. This time period is known as the Celestial Cycle to the people of Aldern. Aldern, the only planet of Alanspace orbits Uatu.

Uatu, along with light and warmth, also generates Solanon, one of the sources of the Anon (magic) in the world. Uatu is much hotter than Juva.

Several cultures through history, like the Espin viewed the sun as a deity.
