Khrat

Khrat is a mild hallucinogenic and depressant, casually used throughout much of Mizra'aki. It can be smoked or, if dried, snorted, and is mildly addictive.

Khrat Addiction

For most individuals, khrat is not addictive, but there are some genetic propensities that lead to the effects of the drug decreasing greatly over time. For those individuals, either their attraction to the drug wanes, or they enter the first of two levels of Khrat addiction. Here, the addict remains largely functional, but in a matter of months, the craving for the drug overwhelms all else in their lives.
