The Veiled Crater

The Veiled Crater is a naturally sheltered sanctuary located on the landmass of Ilnad on Indara. This crater, formed 300,000 years ago, is unique due to its distinctive covering and lush interior. It is home to many unique creatures and animals that are found nowhere else on Indara.

Formation and Structure

The Veiled Crater spans approximately two kilometers in diameter and is about 200 meters deep. What sets it apart is the massive, intertwined canopy of plants and trees that have grown over its top, creating a natural roof that shelters the crater from the elements. This dense vegetation acts as a protective barrier, shielding the interior from harsh weather conditions and providing a serene, otherworldly ambiance.

Rivers

The crater's rivers originate in the Great Iland Lakes, then eventually go underground, making their way to the Veiled Crater where they are exposed.

The Pond

At the center of the lake, a crystal-clear pond that serves as a vital water source for the flora and fauna within. The pond's surface reflects the bioluminescent glow of the surrounding vegetation, creating a mesmerizing display of light and color.

Flora

Among the various plant species growing within Veiled Crater, some exhibit bioluminescence, emitting a soft, ethereal glow that illuminates the otherwise dark environment. These bioluminescent plants create a unique and enchanting atmosphere, particularly at night, when their gentle light highlights the lush greenery and the tranquil surroundings. The only light source other than the plants is the sunlight, which the plants covering the crater mostly prevent from entering other than a few holes in which the light enters.

Umrenan E'Seqrur's Visit
