Episcopal Curia
The Church of the Seven Emperors is omnipresent throughout the Empire. Nevertheless, as it is technically seven cooperating faiths with interlocking theology, there is enough diversity to prevent monolithic tendencies. In addition to its duties representing the interests of the commons in the Imperial Parliament, the Curia is responsible for ecclesiastical courts, the Inquisition, and the magical defenses of the realm.
With the exception of its leader, the ranks of Seniorii and Iuniores are usually appointees. On some rare occasions, a Hierarch will assume their seat in lieu of sending a proxy (Wimea Amienne of the Temple of Iomedae is the most recent example). Iuniores are recruited from their diocese and seniorii from their respective Hierarch. In practice, each seniorii's curia vote is equivalent of five iuniorii, and the Archpater's vote only counts to break ties. It has become more common in recent decades for the Archpater to arrange the curial agenda (although this may be amended via vote).
