The Raven Matron

(a.k.a. The Elder Goddess of Fate)

The Raven Matron is among the most mysterious of The Elder Gods due to the fact that her followers are practitioners of Witchcraft or the Hags that call the various planes home. She is known to appear as a beautiful young woman in black robes wearing the hat that has become a staple for Witches across history.
While she is not actively hostile she is feared by many as she is the only one of The Elder Gods who is known to be able to take physical form at will upon the planes, a feat none of her fellow Elder Gods may boast. The only instances of her becoming hostile to people is when her Witches are burned in Witch Hunts where in thousands of Ravens descend upon those who perpetrated the act, feasting upon the would be Witch burners.
The other Elder Gods avoid her and those who follow her as she has guided the hands that have destroyed their fellows before and has threatened to do so again. Her power and Age are unknown but she is known to be a Rival power to Cthulu, though where he spreads Chaos and Madness, The Matron spreads power among the helpless and lost.
While many assume the term Witch to only include women, there are Male Witches. There is simply a disparity in gender for more often the women of Almura find themselves among the downtrodden and forgotten far more frequently.
Her true form is unknown, whether it is the Humanoid form that appears upon the Planes or another more Sinister form is a debate many in the magical sciences debate.
Following the Wizard Klexia Andronos acquiring Archlich Vissera's Ring of the Undying, she confronted The Hag Esther Bitteroot about her involvement in recent events. It was revealed that Esther is the Avatar of the Raven Matron upon Almura. Esther cannot use her full power upon the World of Almura but is attempting to help Prevent the creature known as Mazerath from gaining any more power.
