Crownpass i governed by The Poet who is the governor of Crownpass and ruler of Rhunia. The city also has a council which includes Rahzium Riddle and Asterious Volpert. The council also has representants from the city which are voted on by the people.   Until late in A4 652, the Rothwells held much power in Crownpass, but as The Poet took over, their power has completely vanished.

Defences

Crownpass is very well defended, the city has a tall and thick oval wall around it. There are also only two main gates in Crownpass the northern and southern gate, these gates are well defended by two ballistas each and two towers. There are a total of 23 towers around Crownpass. Crownpass also has a very high soldier to civilian ratio as it is placed between bleakburn and the rest of the empire.

Industry & Trade

Crownpass's biggest incomes are farms, cattle, mines, and ironwood. Crownpass has a lot of farm ground north of the city towards evlora where wheat, grain, and other crops can be found together with animals like sheep, cows, and goats. Crownpass also has the biggest industry of ironwood as they own most of the forest and is very close to it. The lumberjacks of Crownpass are very careful to plant and keep the forest alive and growing while cutting down a regulated portion each year. Crownpass also booms in mining as they are only a few days away from the eastern parts of the Barnigans Hills which has proven rich with copper, tin, and iron.

Infrastructure

Crownpass has had a very fast growth in both population and buildings and expansions. The city is filled with a few temples to the imperial gods, it has many shops and services and has one of three banks within the empire. Crownpass also has a huge copper mine owned by the Rothwell family which has created hundreds of jobs.

History

Crownpass is by many considered a young city as it was founded in A4 336, but during its time it has become a very important city with a rich and complicated story. It was founded as a joint project between Evlora and the Trugarian Empire in an effort to both claim and tame the area between the two kingdoms. Hundreds of workers were taken to the town and it was quickly, over the duration of three years built into a small city. Its construction was originally only supposed to be sponsored by Evlora and the Empire, but a third sponsor ended up playing a big part in its construction, the Rothwells. An elvish family with much inherited riches aided its construction and when it was done, they would settle in the city. Their part in the city's creation became almost synonymous with ruling it as they held much power for hundreds of years.   Crownpass was also the seat of Ser Tristan Hargreave during the Tru Betrayal of 601 - 605. He had captured the city and taken the Rothwell family captive and shut the city off from the Evlora-Bleakburn trade route. He did much damage to the city while staying there. He was eventually defeated by Lorcan V, butCrownpass did not return to its former self. The 300 000 gold donation from Emperor Thyris undid some of the damage, but much was claimed by the Rothwell family which had the people grow to dislike them more than before.   After the Tru Betrayal, a man by the name Cyrus Silvarno would go on to "aid" many of the victims of the Tru Betrayal by buying their properties in return for fixes to their homes which happened during the war. Cyrus managed to buy about half the city as the desperation after the war led many to be all but homeless due to damages to their homes. The fact that the repair money which the Trugarian Empire had been misused or mostly disappeared after it was given to the Rothwells meant that the gold promised to the people of Crownpass never got to them and their desperation led to Cyrus. It was later found out that the Silvarno family and the Rothwell family had worked together to buy up the town together with the money given to the city by the Empire. A great crime which was first repaid in A4 652.   In A4 652, a man known only as The Poet revealed himself to the city officially as he had been the head of a crime organization for decades, one which for a long time had worked against the Silvarno family. He revealed the work he had been doing in the shadows to stop the crime in the city and that his work was always in the favor of the people of Crownpass. WIth the support from the Trugarian Empire, he managed to revive the old territory of Rhunia and make Crownpass its capital. He also renamed the city which was called Cullfield at the time, to Crownpass. His work would see an end to the Silvarno Crew and the Rothwell family which ended up paying the city back double what was originally given to the city.

Architecture

Crownpass has a very distinct architecture as most of the buildings are made from ironwood. The buildings are all made in the same style with sharp roofs and dark and warm buildings that can withstand the elements with ease. Since ironwood also burns at a higher temperature it is very rare for buildings to be set on fire or start a great fire.

Geography

Crownpass is placed between Bleakburn and Evlora in a big open field with little to no hills. It is located only twenty minutes away from the ironwoods and a few days away from Barnigan hills. Crownpass is also close to the northern more dry parts of Warlough Slugh.
