Which soon enough led them to the conviction that their never ending need for energy and reliance on burning fossil fuels was ultimately to blame for it.
So over the course of multiple decades, every bit of research was entirely diverted into the development of a planet-sustaining empire of pure green energy.
Which in the year of 2092 was then finally achieved.
With countless, massive wind turbines spread across the entire ocean, and monumental fields of silvery solar panels, covering up the unpopulated desert grounds. Which are consistently supported and maintained by specially trained and developed AI robots, to make the upkeep of all these facilities even possible.
