The Shrunken’s Loss of Power

Where the strong began to rule over the weak.

After the world altering event of “The Shrinking”, the political halls created a new department to represent the now shrunken down population of the world.
Which at first was entirely run by politicians, who also fell victim to the machine's cataclysmic effect, to clearly understand all the hard challenges their people had now to face. And to properly deal and adjust to them.
But then, in the midst of summer 2138, all of those who represented the shrunken world population, seemingly vanished into thin air.
And quickly got replaced, not by a new cast of resized citizens, but by a group of normal-sized politicians instead.
Which created a hierarchy of strong ruling over the weak, as well as planting the first seed of corrupted greed.
