Lord Chancellor (chan·cel·lor)
The Lord Chancellor is the person who runs Fenriel, the highest political authority in the city.
Qualifications
A good head for business, the ability to inspire confidence, and the ability to listen to your advisors and pick out the good advice. A willingness to be a bit ruthless is also very helpful
Appointment
When a new chancellor needs to be appointed the Rex sends representatives to Fenriel with a parchment confirming the title and a magical hummingbird feather. During the swearing in ceremony the feather is absorbed into the skin of the forearm like a tattoo proving to everyone that the rank is indeed transferred.
Duties
Run the city, keep the tourists happy and the animals out
Accoutrements & Equipment
In addition to the feather tattoo there is a headdress for special events and an amulet/broach worn all of the time.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Retirement or when something happens that threatens the profitability of the city.
