Ammon Coaguled
Arch-Inquisitor Ammon Coaguled is a 47 year old human with noble, sharp features. He often wears war medals on his inquisitor robes and is not scarred or marked by battle. Ammon is a traditional officer in every sense of the word.
He currently resides in Aaramor where he oversees the elected states siege on Freyfrost.
Lyren discovered that, in the siege of Freyfrost, Ammon’s tactics are outdated, naive and weak. The most recent tactic involved him sending a direct cavalry charge towards the walls of Freyfrost in response to a recent raid (in which Freyfrost stole several designs for mage slaying weapons).
Due to the direct assault insisted on nearby Crownsguard (mainly from Warlington) none survived. If news of his repeated failings and stupidity gets out then it could spell disaster for Ammon.
The party have also learned that Coaguled seemingly made a deal with the fey to receive the magic resistant creatures that they fought in The Mammoth Peaks, Thordak learned this after finding a series of letters from Ammon to a group of traitorous Aist mages.
The party are also aware Ammon was the one responsible for the charge that cost the lives of hundreds of The Crownsguard soldiers, the event that Amrys survived and was deeply traumatised by, Fen learned through the feywild visions that Ammon spun this story to make it seem like a true victory for the Elected Crown.

The Coaguled family are Eastbourne nobility and so, when Ammon displayed magical skill and became a certified MAGUS, his family paid for him to become an Arch-Inquisitor after spending 7 years as a Inquisitor. He is a new inquisitor and has a good publicity primarily because of the spin doctors he is advised by and the journalists that are on his payroll. He is the Inquisitor of Aaramor and has been tasked with the dual purpose of protecting Aaramor from Freyfrost and taking the free state for himself.
