Lakefort
Folk at Lakefort are some of the nicest you'll meet but don't let that fool you. They've all completed pilgrimages to that centre island and the tower of Erathis. I'd wager most folk in that town know more magic than a years worth of learning at the Magus could give you.Lakefort share a key similarity with Aria. They are neutrals in this war. The people of Lakefort, quite simply are not interested. They have a single goal in their lives as they all, on their 18th birthday, complete their pilgrimage to the hall of Erathis where they receive a piece of themselves. Something they find deeply personal and becomes something of a spiritual guide for them for the rest of their lives. It is also a deeply personal thing that most people who have completed the pilgrimage refuse to share. Though the village people themselves are not nearly as strong magically as rumour claims. They simply use the mysteries around the isle of Erathis to make themselves seem... well, formidable. Instead of magical remedy Lakefort is known for it's artificer population and their unique inventions to support their way of life, fishing bots for example. They also have an interesting manner for those passing through the town... a common occurrence. People in the town will place a number at the front of their door, that is the amount of beds they have spare and most in Lakefort are willing to offer their homes for the night and, though they have been burned for this charity and hospitality in the past. Very few bandits and raiders can, in good conscience, continue to take from the townspeople in the face of such kindness. Often it is seen as 'right' to help around the house you are staying in and pay a tip to whoever has housed you for their kindness.

Government
The burgomaster of Lakefort is an elderly sage Gnome, who simply calls himself 'The Man' a reformed feral Gnome from the time of the Dread King. He now use his trickster mind to spread rumours of the village of Lakefort to give them safety and not force them to take sides in a way that could lead to a fracturing of their town or open violence either way.
