Personal history

Malaaris the Elder, one of the most respected figures in Ivultisian history, was born in a humble family of Nolmarch. Learning early on to wield the axe, take care of his loved ones and use magic, his family quickly realized he wasn't going to stay a simple farmer in the Northern frozen expanses.    At the age of fifteen, he went on to serve his country as a magical engineer, one of the hardest and most demanding jobs one could do in Ivultis, and had great success, earning the respect of his peers and the admiration of his people. Eventually, when the Western United Kingdoms invaded the southern regions and Ivultis had to retreat to the North, he was the one to build and supervize an absolute marvel of engineering and craft: the city of Frostbound, protected by multiple layers of magic energy, and capable of deploying at will automated sentries of his own invention.    Eventually, after the war was won, his knowledge as en engineer, prowess as a mage and undying loyalty to his people got him elected as the first Great Chancellor of Ivultis, and he guided the country to a flourishing and prosperous era, up until the day of his death.
