Vira's Aspiration

I pulled myself to my feet. No, her aspiration will not die here with her. Her vision will be realized.
Etánro Palespirit, Origin

Vira was a beacon of parity for the people of the world. To honor her, her followers erected a spire at her final resting place. This spire expanded over time as her followers, known as Paritet, grew and used the surrounding ground for their base of operations.   People bow their head in reverence when they gaze upon the spire. It inspires many to continue their work—her work—creating an equilibrium in the world.

Purpose / Function

The spire marks Paritet's center of power in the world. Four times a year, meetings are held in the Convocation Chamber of the spire.   Leaders from each Guild are required to meet here and report updates and events from around the world. Paritet's current Servitor hosts and runs these meetings, as well as directing the guilds in their actions. These meetings are lengthy, sometimes lasting days before decisions are made. Most talk is about areas of the world that need assistance.   This assistance is mostly about the magical balance of the world. Too much casting of one element throws it off balance with the others, leading to magical and natural disasters. However, with specialized Guilds, this assistance may come in the form of apprehending criminals, collecting or distributing knowledge, or other ways of "balancing" the world.   Though each Guild may bring up issues related to their specialties, the Servitor always has the final say in the actions that these extended arms of Paritet take.

Design

The main room—the Convocation Chamber—is lit with hundreds of candles. From embedded sconces to metal candlesticks, the bright white walls reflect and carry the soft glow around the chamber. The room sits at a comfortable temperature all times of the year. Silence permeates the chamber; and even when meetings are held, voices always seem to be dampened.   A circular meeting table sits in the center of the room. Around the table are five wooden chairs facing the center. Etched in a ring around the white stone table is Paritet's creed: "Balance In All Things". Everything in this room is designed for simplicity and quick business; nothing is made for comfort.

Architecture

White stone from Vira's hometown was transported to build her tomb and the rest of the spire. The hollow spire has only two floors; the base and Vira's Rest. The outside is smooth, circular, and unadorned. Two large, simple, and dark colored wooden doors mark the entrance, leading into the Convocation Chamber.   This large, circular chamber is made of the same immaculate white stone as the outside. It stretches 75 feet across with a white stone staircase winding its way far upward into the ceiling, leading to Vira's Rest.   Painted on the walls are historic murals of Paritet's victories. The white stone floor is level and unadorned; not even a rug.

History

When Vira fell 136 years ago, Etánro oversaw the continuation of Paritet, establishing their headquarters at the place of Vira's death, and designating a new guild leader. The tower itself was erected in honor of the balance and safety Vira brought to the world, with her grave at the zenith.   Initially, the Convocation Chamber at the base of the spire existed merely as an entry to Vira's Rest. As Paritet grew in size and power, that room became the meeting place it is today.

This is looking pretty good for a first big article! Great use of links: Vera' s Rest looks like the (template) portion may be broke. May be looking for Location, Settlement or Landmark   I'd personally drop the bold tag you have inside your quote box. Though I do like your use of the horizontal rule at the end of every section. Another quote from someone talking about the Tower, either dorectly or in passing might be a good thing for the History Section. Also, if possible, utilize the Sidebar more. Check the Design Tab of the Editor for some great options!   Looks great, and I will be keeping an eye on this world.

Thank you very much! Vira's Rest isn't complete yet; thought I'd have the time to finish it before I left for a trip. I'll see what I can do to improve this further.   I'll have to work a bit more on this world so you'll have more to read! :)
