Paritet

Formed long ago by Vira, Paritet controls the balance of elemental magic in the world.   They have presided over the magical balance in the world for over a century. It is thanks to the efforts—both past and present—of this guild that the world stays in one piece.
Clerics and Paladins are trained by Paritet, usually attaining a rank of Commiserator.2

Structure

Most of Paritet is comprised of Altruists. Altruists perform many of the roles within Paritet's ranks. They report to Magisters. Magisters are the heads of various departments. They report to Aligners. There are six Aligners; one for each element. They report to the Servitor.   Altruist: Perform many roles within Paritet's ranks; from cleaning, scribing, research, tinkering, and more. Most of Paritet's ranks and people living on Vira's Aspiration are Altruists.   Magister: Managers of various departments and areas of Paritet. They oversee Altruists and ensure daily tasking is carried out, keeping the guild working smooth. There may be more than one Magister per department. They are also the ones sent to check in and collect reports from Paritet outposts, and bring the information back to report to Aligners.   Aligner: Aligners are responsible for managing normal elemental balancing matters. They analyze magic levels and employ Parrs to keep the world balanced. Often, they will travel and investigate more serious magical anomalies.   Servitor: Guild leader. Though Aligners have much agency, the Servitor is the final voice in balancing and anomaly matters. The Servitor makes executive calls, running the guild and its branches from Vira's Aspiration.

Public Agenda

"We are unrelenting quellers of chaos. We are humble servants of balance. We are the maintainers of parity. We are Paritet."

History

"Why should we suffer?" Asks she to us. No answer had we, yet burning determination was in her eyes. "I will make it right. Help me." How could we say no?
Etánro Palespirit, Origin
With this question, Vira and her close friends began rallying others to her cause. Support was swift and sweeping, and within 120 days, she was ready to launch her first assault. It was not until later█████ █████ █████ ███████ ████ ████ that the force established themselves as a guild—Paritet.   Using the momentum of their success ███████ ████ ███ ████████ █████, they planned ███ ████████ ███ ████ ██████. The victory was swiftly won.3 Paritet charged forward, Vira leading the campaign of achieving balance ███████ ███ ███████.   Year 155, despite victory, one of the cores fails to be recovered from the chasm.1   Vira's life came to an end in the year 164. Her dream, however, did not. Etánro oversaw the continuation of Paritet, establishing their headquarters at the place of Vira's death, and designating a new guild leader.   Year 165, The Operators was established as an auxiliary branch of Paritet to manage fiances as Paritet helped the world stabilize after the campaign ███.   Year 174, The Enforcers was established by Paritet to focus on combating the common criminal and putting down crazed beasts.   Year 180, Paritet had scribes and scholars keeping record of many events, but it wasn't robust enough. A new branch of Paritet dedicated to gathering and recording events and other information was finally established; The Keepers.   Year 212, a group of dissenters surface in Gulgrennjor. Several Altruists are slain. Servitor Kulden diffuses the situation personally, ending the rebellion.   Year 256, With the need for a more organized workforce, The Laborers is established.

1This is presumably still lost, as I have no idea what this is even referring to. Though the "chasm" could be referring to the Vindoars.

2By year 259, this rank had merged in with Magisters. Now, there is simply a Magister of Ceremonies within which Clerics and Paladins fall under.

3I've managed to reveal this bit of redacted information so far. It's been assumed by scholars for some time that Paritet's roots were far more militaristic than released to the public, but solid proof has been hard to find.
