River 1} Zydeca, Julwae, and Thresh
"...ANd this is really the fastest way to get to your hive, huh." Zyd was the closest to the bank, which could end poorly, seeing as how it couldn't swim. Another strike against its wishes to be a pirate, though that was kind of a pipe dream anyway. Mostly it was looking at the surface of the water, while keeping an ear open for the other two. Running water always had a certain look to it, very different from the slime of a recuperacoon, or any regular drink.
She looked at it and nodded. "mhm" She fiddled with the straps on her bag. "This is the path I always take home"
Thresh was already getting. Visibly tired. "It's so far. You two really walked all this way? Zyd, what're you looking at?" He audibly groaned and kicked a pebble into the water.
"I Told you, I grabbed her at the caff." It was such a dumb code name. "ANd I'm just looking at the water, it's nice to look at." A tired Thresh was either a good or very bad sign-- best case scenario he'd be vaguely complainy and mostly mellow, and likely crash back at Zyd's hive, worst case scenario he'd just get legitimately mad, and decide to Do Things About It.
She heard the two talking and said nothing as she fidgeted. She looked at her feet. God how did she get into this situation.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. But come on, even then, like, it's just so far. Are we even near there at this point?" He kicked another pebble into the water. And then another. "I'm messing it up."
"MEssing what up, the water?" Now was hardly a time for vague statements, especially with their charge. Weren't ironbloods known for telepathy or something? It didn't really know, and didn't want to have to deal with that on top of a volatile violetblood. "BUt, yeah, how far from here is your hive?" It looked to Jul.
"It's like close don't worry" she mumbled messing with her fingers
"Alright. Alright, alright." There was a noticeable drop of mood from him. He's definitely starting to feel irritated. He kicked a bigger rock into the river as they walked.
Zyd made an executive decision, to move between Jul and Thresh. Not that it was afraid Jul would run away or anything, they really were just going to her hive, after all. And just jumping into the river wouldn't really provide an advantage? At least it didn't think so. Either way, Jul not being the nearest punchable object was just an overall good thing. "WE're almost there, that's good."
She kept walking with them and her hive was in sight. "yeah see it's right there," she pointed starting to feel a little nervous as Zyd moved.
"That one? Alright." He started to pick up some speed. He might be going to the wrong one, who knows? Not him.
Zyd was at this point slightly more concerned about its moirail than the ironblood-- she'd definitely be fine, if they were as close as she said. "YEs, that one." It did try to gently guide Thresh in the right direction, nothing good would come from accidentally breaking into someone else's hive. Especially if they were in their hive.
