Chronicles of Thessalor - First Age

From The Chronicles of Thessalor - First Age Manuscript. In the hallowed pages dedicated to Eleazel, the lord of life, is etched the legend of Thessalor the Centaur, whose indomitable spirit ascended to become the guardian of eternity. His story is not a tale but a blade, a truth that cleaves the veil of forgetfulness.   Thessalor, relentless, the embodied fury of the wild lands, bowed only to Adonia, the son of Eleazel. Blood sealed their covenant, and an oath of iron and magic bound the Centaur to his master. In life, an invincible shield; in death, an eternal barrier against treachery and desecration.   When Adonia fell, Thessalor did not waver. He offered his flesh to the sacred ritual, his essence to the dominion of death. Sacrificed, mummified through dark arts, he was elevated beyond mortality. On the marble slab he lies, a statue of flesh and will, a warning that loyalty to Eleazel transcends death.   His stone figure, rooted before the entrance of this sacred chamber, stands as an icon of defiance against time, against the enemies of Eleazel. The spear in his hand is no longer a weapon but an emblem, an anchor of justice for those to come, a vow that loyalty to our lord is harder than adamantine.   His spirit, anchored to the stone, suspended in anticipation of Adonia, is a hymn to power, a song of death and rebirth. The Centaur is not a silent guardian but a war chant, a cry that echoes through the arcane halls, promising vengeance and renewal.   Let his name, Thessalor, be spoken with a shiver of terror, let his story be the light that guides the faithful of Eleazel. He waits, serene in his eternal vigil, for the day when Adonia's blood is threatened in its rest and arms must again be wielded for the glory of our Lord Eleazel.
This is the truth of Thessalor: not a story, but a prophecy carved into the very heart of Aglarion, awaiting to become flesh and stone in the grand design of Eleazel. So it is written, so it shall be.
Thessalor: The Eternal Guardian   Story: Thessalor was a centaur of great renown in the lands of Aglarion, celebrated as much for his wisdom as for his valor in battle. He became the personal guardian of Adonia, embodying loyalty and strength. His story is a testament to the enduring bonds between guardian and charge, a narrative woven into the very fabric of Aglarion's history.     The Pact: The pact between Thessalor and Adonia was one of deep commitment and mutual respect. Thessalor vowed to serve as Adonia's eternal protector, a role that extended beyond mere duty to a sacred obligation. In return, his clan was assured of protection and prosperity, underpinned by the magical auspices of the angel Eleazel. This covenant was more than a simple agreement; it was a bond forged in the fires of devotion, ensuring that Thessalor's clan would flourish under Eleazel's benevolent watch.     Petrification: Upon Adonia's death, Thessalor embraced his destiny with a solemn dignity, consenting to be slain and mummified so that he could continue his vigil over his master in death as in life, in the tomb built by the Great Architect Nahuaele. This act of self-sacrifice transformed him into a sentinel of stone, a guardian who would watch over Adonia through the ages. The petrification process was a sacred ritual, imbued with dark arts that transcended the natural order, elevating Thessalor beyond the realm of the living and into the annals of legend. His stone form at the entrance of the sacred chamber serves not only as a testament to his unwavering loyalty but also as a symbol of the eternal pact between guardian and charge, a reminder to all of Eleazel's might and the power of unwavering fidelity.
