Ambelain This is not a land for the faint of heart

Welcome to the shadowed realm of Ambelain, a world that whispers of grim tales and secrets shrouded in the mists of time. This is not a land for the faint of heart, but for those who are drawn to the mysteries of the dark, the allure of the unknown, and the thrill of adventure that lies in the most unexpected of places.
In Ambelain, magic is a rare gem, hidden and elusive, a remnant of a bygone era when sentient beings wielded their powers with grace and might. As well as Yesod, which is contemporarily a plane of existence coexisting with that of ordinary reality, and a state of consciousness of the one who is able to travel through it. That golden age has passed, leaving behind relics and mysteries of a time when magic flowed as freely as the rivers that cross the lands. Now, in a world where the arcane has become but a whisper, only a few gifted—or cursed—souls can tap into these ancient energies. But be warned, for such power comes at a great cost, demanding a physical toll and exposing its wielder to dangers untold.   This vast world is a tapestry of diverse populations and cultures, each with its own stories, conflicts, and dreams. Yet, every epic must start somewhere, and our journey begins in the kingdom of Agland.       Here, in this corner of Ambelain, lies the heart of our tale, where The United Industries were born; where the Elves went back to the world; where the Dwarves build the better ships; where Humans have for centuries codified racial laws against so-called Blood Touched, that is, all non-human, dwarven or elven (or half-elves) creatures; and where the echoes of the past resonate with the footsteps of those daring enough to tread its paths.    In current days, the Elves are a rare and enigmatic presence, their numbers dwindling to just a few. Legends whisper of their deep connection with subtle energies. Old and powerful, they are the only repositories of ancient knowledge, the only ones still capable of accessing magic. In the eyes of men, they are capable of marvellous wonders that defy explanation. The Dwarves, on the other hand, are skilled sailors, and the Dwarf's peculiar character is like that of his territory made up of mountains and sea: thus an extreme resistance to pain, disappointment, and misfortune; a great and fearful loyalty; a humble acceptance of fate as an inseparable element of his condition.     We invite you, reader, gamer, and Dungeon Master alike, to delve into the depths of Ambelain, starting from Agland. Uncover its secrets, explore its hidden corners, and become a part of its unfolding story. Whether you wield the pen, the dice, or the sword, this world is yours to discover, to protect, and perhaps, to change.   Join us in the shadows, where the line between the grim and the glorious is as thin as a blade's edge. Welcome to Ambelain, where every whisper and shadow has a tale to tell. Are you ready to listen?
