Thorkin and Igni utilized their new door on The Endless Road to Heazim to save Dimsyl and her family, as well as seven others, and bring them to Shaduit.

     The two adventurers returned to Heazim only eighteen days after planting the root of chaos, and found the city in despair. They found half the population dead, a quarter insane, and the last quarter in hiding and there were great wolves roaming the city streets. They eventually made their way to Dimsyl's family bakery, where they found twelve people hiding. They managed to get most of them to come with them, but as they were going back, they were pursued by twelve Dire Wolves. Thorkin urged Igni to run ahead with the refugees while he held off the wolves. He quickly gathered abandoned carts into the center of the street, and lit them ablaze with the help of the magical ability Igni temporarily granted him, and retreated a short distance; prepared to stand his ground. In the end, it was a bloody fight, until Thorkin, having secured the safety of the refugees, escaped into the door, having been beaten within an inch of his life. While it was only a handful of people they saved, those handful will never forget the heroics used to save them from the doomed city.
