The Recorded History of the Northalls

12624
1/1

While it is likely incomplete, this is the history such as it exists of the Northall Family.

In the far strange collection of craggy islands, there sits a collection of Kenku. Few ever travel there and no one has been able to understand why the Kenku reside there, for it appears to be by choice. They were legitimized by King Earnest on the celebration of the new year in 2624. Lord Chime was their first recorded leader, such as they have them. A strange bird who was often hard to those outside of his own kind, he appears to have established a livable place upon the islands by using a combination of magic and runes to keep sea monsters from destroying the Isles. It is rumored that he stole the magic from a deity and it is part of his curse, but he never confirmed the rumors.   After his death, Lord Rat-Scratch took over the family. He was a kind being, as kind as Kenku ever are at any rate, and made sure that he appointed capable beings from outside the family to be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the Isles. He was actually respected by the members of the Isles and went a long way to helping heal the distrust between Kenku and the other races.   However, he passed in 2692 and his child, Lord Cat-call is known for being a cold and suspicious being, the fact is–as a Lord–he has done all he can to make sure the members of his family and lands are well cared for. However, most people prefer to never meet their current lord if they can avoid it.
