Uzhul the Destroyer tricks the fire giants into forging a blade of black iron, and he plunges it into the heart of Erecura, Sovereign of Earth.
Uzhul, Lord of Destruction, whose legions destroyed Luminias, seeks vengeance against the Sovereigns for creating the Firmament and trapping him here. He tricks the eldest daughter of Sin, the first Fire Giant, into forging a black sword from the iron of the Blood of Life. With it, he slays Erecura, Sovereign of Earth. Her death sends spiritual shockwaves throughout the western continent and simultaneously weakens the Firmament, the barrier that keeps beings of the Hungry Dark out of Anacra. The fire giants are cast out of the Sky Kingdom, and everlasting enmity is struck between the giants and the dwarves.
