Hakaria is a hot dune world characterized large subterranean complexes. It acts as the colonial capital of the Hiderid Coalition of Stars and is the home of most Hiderid, as well as a significant portion of the Zaalan people.   Its thin atmosphere and low hydrosphere means that there is a wide temperature variation between day and night. While land is cultivated, organized into vast stations around lakes, riverways and small oceans, most Coalition citizens dwell in vast subterranean cave networks just beneath the surface - though there is often clear segration by wealth, race and social status clear in the arrangement of such networks. This world is divided in urban councils and corporate townships, with much of the land remaining unincorporated.   The Coalition's capital city is called Bluereach. As a cultural centre dedicated to trade and wealth, it is a heavily decorated city of sandstone and palm trees. It is built in two levels. Dailmay above sprawls along the river Damyat and its seasonal wadis, features a giant, gleaming glass spire that also acts as the entrance to the cavern city below. Below, the cooler Blue City is often a point of pride and sold as a tourist experience. Out of Bluereach, grav shuttles and slow zeppelin-like ships are commonly used for travel and trade across the cities and stations on this world. Many settlements will sport a Spireport at their centre to serve as berths and comm equipment.       The economy of Hakaria has allowed the Coalition to become economically and politically dominant. What it lacks in general agricultural land it makes up for in sheer mineral wealth. Mines sprawl from cities in all directions here, which allowed the Coalition to get a strong head start after the Great Jump though many have been abandonned since the Hestian Rush, when many Coalition corporations moved to the Belt instead. The world has recovered since then, and nowadays, nitrates and oil back some of the Coalition's exports - though they pale in comparison to the heavily developed manufacturing and high-tech industry which now sprawls over the former mines.   While the Coalition outsources its local government to corporate interests, not everywhere on Venture is necessarily under the close control of the Coalition government. Other areas involve the duty-free tax haven of Port Haluci, a shady, corporate environment run by an individual known as the Masked Beak and prized by the Coalition elite for its very lax taxation laws compared to most other places in the Coalition.
