The toxic world
Nevael is a hot, radioactive world and the closest terrestrial planet to Elpis, snugly anchored to its first orbit, slightly outside the star's goldilocks zone. Nevael is dotted in towering columns of hexagonal grey stone. There is the occasional orange shrub with dark orange warts. The biochemistry of the local life, like much of anything here, is toxic, forcing settlers to resort to hydroponic labs to survive (and to heavy exosuits to travel anywhere)
Initially overlooked by early colonization efforts, Nevael was the domain of wildcat scavengers and indie miners until the 104th Cycle, when explorer
Boriel Davi stole the
Boshaari Council flagship
BSS Lily of the Void and settled a colony on one of its largest spires, founding the sealed city of
Bar-in-Edlhed.
There are alien ruins across this world. The potential for amazing new discoveries is huge, and the world has drawn people of many walks of life : stern scientists, treasure hunters, cultists, corporations and miners have all rushed to this new frontier to hopefully leave with a piece of ancient Stream history. Nonetheless, the less than hospitable conditions heavily dampen further colonization efforts, and the Boshaari Council has officially given up trying to regain any of the world's colonies.
Words of caution about
Digsite X-45 - rumoured full of dangerous maltech - have attracted all sorts of technocultists from the
Cult of the Arch-Code who have taken control of it and zealously guard its secrets with their lives.
