Backstory
Phalari is a descendant of the famed explorer Boriel Davi, captain of the BSS Lily of the Void. She is an Ara'balai who grew up on the New Eldelyn frontier. Later, she kept close ties with her grand-father, unlike most of her family. In the 151th Cycle, Phalari struggled to break even as a free trader, despite a series of lucrative trades, because of heightened competition and the development of large-scale trade across the Tau Elpis system. Phalari was known to be steadfast and honest, though also somewhat carefree in her general demeanour. Her skills at piloting under duress made her a favourite prospect for the Express Courier Services, though she never joined up. As a trader, she honed her skills in appraisal, cunning-work and negotiation. The Teroshe Plague
During the Teroshe Plague outbreak, Phalari was recruited to save Ergene Qalli, who had made bold accusations against the Coalition's imperialism, going so far as to accuse the Hiderid Coalition of Stars of letting Zaalan die whilst they sat on a miracle cure. Phalari offered to continue the Doctor's quest on her behalf for a price, and convinced her crew to join her. She broke into the research vessel CMS Ninazu and stole the 'miracle cure', uncovering a grim conspiracy to infect Zaalans with a Hiderid-made plague so to undermine the power of the Zaalan Free Tribes. Despite her bubbly personality, Phalari was determined and showed genuine ability in leading her small party of adventurers. She was also one of the most principled members of the crew, who relied upon her for guidance in tormented times. Phalari was a deeply empathic Boshaari who felt genuine guilt at taking even semi-sentient life unduly.Flowers of Nufano
Along with the rest of the crew of the BSS Endeavour, Phalari stumbled upon ancient ruins on Nufano. The details of her mission are classified to this day, however it is noted that she helped defend an ancient archeological Acorn from an attack by the Cult of the Arch-Code.
