Pyxis Globula

The Pyxis Globula is a spiral galaxy only about 15000 LY large. It is believed to be a gravitationally bound companion of the Circinus Stream. The galaxy is unbarred, though researchers argue that a weak bar exists, upon which once sat the Hhrot homeworld. It is the ancestral home of all races currently dwelling in the Stream.
The Globula has featured a large, Scale-I civilization at least twice in its known history : the Precursors, of whom much is unknown, set out on massive terraforming efforts roughly 100.000 years ago. The galactic community of Boshaari, Mewei, Hhrot, Zaalans and Hiderid, which is assumed in tatters following the Oberon Incursion. Whatever is left of the galactic community following the departure of the Embassy Ark is unknown.
As a well-referenced galaxy with incredibly detailed catalogues and listings, a few astronomers in the Stream have taken to study the Globula from the furthest vantage point their species was ever allowed to reach. Others point that such knowledge is now bitterly useless, however.
