Tiefling
The Tieflings are a species of elven-like beings believed native to the Circinus Stream. Little is known about them, other than they once maintained an embassy in the system], as described in ancient Ton'keena archives found across Nufano.
According to the archives, Tieflings look very similar to the Boshaari - except stronger, bulkier, and sporting various kinds of horns and scales over their bodies. The Ton'keena describe them as an "extraplanar" species hailing from another galaxy, with ethereal features. They worship an entity called the Azalea, who is said to have ferried them over from their ancient world and is the source of their ethereal bond. Despite this, Tieflings are often described as inept in the magical arts, though they are often depicted using small, magical stones of crystallized and specially infused Thaumium to fight and execute everyday tasks.
Tieflings inhabit the atoll world Lilium, located somewhere deep within the Circinus Stream. Tiefling history was one of subjugation at the hand of the Kyalan empire often described negatively in Ton'keena archives. Sometime before the withdrawal of Ton'keena colonies from Tau Elpis, the Kyalan empire collapsed, paving the way for Tieflings to build one of the largest and most prosperous interstellar empires known to the Stream.
Several Boshaari historians have drawn parallels between the enigmatic Tieflings and those mutated elves that once roamed the Boshaari homeworld thousands of cycles ago before their great city vanished. It is sometimes asserted that they may be one and the same people, though with so little evidence, most dismiss this hypothesis as far-fetched.
