Personal history
Verric was born in the year 916 IE. He served in the Iopetran military from 935-943, when he relinquished his rank and married a human noblewoman by the name of Lucia Laskaris. They had five children together over the course of the next twenty years.
In 970, Verric's aunt, the then-Emperor, died without heirs. Verric was the heir-presumptive at the time, at the age of fifty-four. Despite an attempt by a cousin to have him disqualified because of a past extramarital affair, the coronation went forward without a hitch and he was crowned Emperor.
Verric has served as the Emperor since then, for twenty-nine years. He is currently 83 years old.
Verric's children include Corphanit Embrys, Ibnaestra Embrys, Simorin Embrys, Leovar Embrys, and Sylzenya Embrys.
