Grand Protectorate of Rhomaneser
- Named for a legendary — possibly imaginary — founding warrior-king of Dvin. Rhomaneser is said to have been a half-giant, with an enormous greataxe and a mind for military strategy.
- The ruling dynasty of Dvin have also been the High Protectors of Rhomaneser for centuries.
- The capital of Dvin is at the Rhomanesian city of Bassam.
- Being the seat of the Kings of Dvin gives Rhomaneser outsized influence in the political affairs of the High Kingdom of Nymera of which it is a part.
- While the Dvinish (and Rhomanesen) capital of Bassam is not as large as Athren in Escatonah or Cthenra in Tvor, its roads and architecture are more elaborate, impressive, and well-kept. The royal family takes the image of their city very seriously, and there are whole districts made of stone, with official buildings made of variously-colored marble. Statues and fountains are common, and the city periodically hires a small army of street-sweepers to scrub the streets.
