Indrassa XIV Coltaun, Queen of Shan

For the past two centuries, the kings and queens of Shan have withdrawn, living lives of luxury, contemplation, and decadence. The royalty see actual governing as beneath them, leaving the running of the kingdom in the hands of their Vizier. The Viziers of Shan are now kings in everything but name, keeping the puppet royalty amused and occasionally bringing them out in well-controlled public settings. The current ruler of Shan is Vizier Davrian Onesa, a 47-year old bugbear wizard. The current figurehead royal is the 168-year old half elven Queen Indrassa Coultan XIV. She is the only daughter of the late King Harian Coultan V and Queen Bashriva Alteyn. She has no children and she is the last surviving member of House Coultan. 
If Queen Indrassa dies without an heir, it will be the end of the Arbein Dynasty. House Arbein is the second Shanite Dynasty, having taken power in 412 A.C. from House Tenrasha. House Arbein died out three hundred years ago, when the last Arbein King died in 942 A.C., leaving the closely-related House Coultan to govern.
