The Taminasa

The nine Taminasa were created by the Old Gods to help guide and protect the world.

The Old Gods created nine immortals called tamina to help them guide and protect the life of the world. Each tamina is different in form and temperament from all the others, and many have never made themselves known.
One of the most famous tamina was Harrukan the Brave, immortal king of the yesreni giants, who was destroyed defending Ancathra from the earliest invasions of the dragon lords two hundred thousand years ago.
Another well known tamina was Balador the Just, a half-bear archdruid. Tamina Balador served as guardian and advisor to the ausrani for thousands of years after they had won their freedom from the Five Emperors in the Thousand Year Uprising and the Last Rebellion. Falsely accused of treason by elven supremacists when the caisheni first appeared, he was turned to stone seven thousand years ago at the Massacre of the Crossroads. His worn, petrified body is there still. The magic that turned him to stone has been lost, and all attempts to free him have failed.
Tamina Nereal the Mad is a beautiful blonde gnome seer with slitted green eyes who lives in a cavern deep in the Carentan Forest, refusing all visitors.
Tamina Bhaarun the Wise is an earth elemental who can be found in the Underdark, never visiting the surface.
Nothing is known about the other five taminas.
