Basic Information

Anatomy

The smallest of the various different kinds frog folk, they have spindly limbs and an agile tongue.

Skin Toxins Their skin produces highly toxic secretions, making it deadly for any non-oophaga to touch their bare skin.

Genetics and Reproduction

The Oophagas maintain special pools that they lay their eggs and raise their tadpoles in. The tadpole stage lasts for one year before they start to develop limbs.

Ecology and Habitats

Found only in warm tropical rainforests on the 'Scaled Continent', the oophagas do poorly outside of high humidity locations.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The majority of their diet is large insects and fish that they catch themselves using nets, with the occasional fruits and flowers.

Social Structure

The Oophagas tend to live rather simple lives, living in communities of up to 30 individuals.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The 'Small Lizard Folk' have begun hunting/enslaving the Oophagas so they can use their skin secretions to coat their weapons and make them more deadly.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Found only in the tropical regions of the 'Scaled Continent' they very rarely leave their homelands.

Average Intelligence

Due to rarely having to worry about predators or raids, the oophagas are free to expand their knowledge and satisfy their curiosity with little worry. As a result they are considered intelligent and wise.

Common Dress Code

Much of their clothing is made out of chitin or fish scale leather.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

General Due to their toxic skin most predators avoid them and few folk want any conflict them, so the oophagas have become excellent diplomats and trade partners.
'Large Lizard Folk' The 'Large Lizard Folk' have a healthy respect for them.
Nagas The Nagas highly respect the Oophagas, and believe that it was one of their gods that gave their kind the gift of venom after helping some Oophagas.
'Small Lizard Folk' They are jealous of the Oophagas and their worry free lives when it comes to predators, and originally avoided them. Recently they have begun to hunt and enslave Oophagas in order to use their skin toxins for war.
