You honour the Guardian that protects your land if you have one, and perform the rites expected of you. You cannot expect protection, if you do not do as the protector requires. Through sacrifce and dedication, your Guardian gains power, and through negect cities fall.
You do not perform an act that risks gaining attention of something greater than yourself, be careful, be cautious, there are many dangers out there.

You join in and commit to the local rituals, for they usually honour the local Guardian in some manner.
