Grand Admiral Vivai Jecen
Vivai Jecen was a stocky male Kenjodan with black fur, and turned almost silver colored in his later years. Jecen is regarded as the best and most famous admiral to fight in the First T'Kiri-Fevarian War and was the first person in the Republic of Fevaria to ever hold the rank of Grand Admiral.
Jecen was born in a relatively backwater town on Orassia, and grew up to be an avid outdoorsman and hunter. His post-high school studies initially focused on the law profession before he earned himself a commission to the Federation of Orassia Navy Corps. His early military career is filled with anecdotes of him getting the other naval officers, many of which were viewed as quite lazy and unprofessional, to respect and honor their own ranks. The departments where he was in command always knew to expect a requirement to meet a higher standard, and Jecen is largely viewed as the sole reason that Fevaria was not eliminated in a matter of weeks during the First T'Kiri-Fevarian War.
His service in the war centered around the tactical shortcomings of the much smaller and underprepared Fevarian Navy, to which he displayed a masterful harnessing of its limited advantages. The First Battle of Kutaio IV is considered Jecen's masterpiece, where with just 12 corvettes, 6 destroyers, and 1 cruiser, he was able to deal a crushing blow to over 50 T'Kiri vessels and single-handedly spared Kuatio of further incursions for the rest of the war. This action earned him the Naval Medal of Tenacity and was the primary basis for his promotion to the rank of Grand Admiral.
Post-war, Vivai Jecen penned numerous memoirs and is quoted often as the primary expert on grand strategy pretaining to the First T'Kiri-Fevarian War. He retired in 30 GE at the age of 120, and lived the rest of his life giving his accounts of the war and fundraising for the military.
