First T'Kiri-Fevarian War
The First T'Kiri-Fevarian War marked the single bloodiest conflict in Fevarian history and was the first major war between the T'Kiri Sacred Imperium and the Republic of Fevaria. Both sides suffered heavy losses and the conflict cemented the two nations and species as staunch adversaries ever since.
The Conflict
Prelude
Ever since the Kenjodan had knowledge of the T'Kiri Imperium, both sides understood the other to be a threat in their own ways. After the start of the T'Kiri Expansion Period it became clear that a conflict would come soon, which spurred the governmental changes necessary to change the Federation of Orassia into the Republic of Fevaria. Mass production of defensive materials in Fevaria became known to T'Kiri scouts, and Supreme Empress Y'Sarkee Koriik saw it as her and her people's duty to destroy the Kenjodan threat before it could become too powerful.
Deployment
Remarks hinting at conflict from the T'Kiri Empress on -22.8.28 caused extreme panic within the Fevarian senate, prompting then-president of Fevaria, President Nali Manne, to deliver a speech to her people while diplomats hurridly attempted to de-escalate the situation with the Imperium. T'Kiri ships began amassing near the border on -22.9.1, prompting Fevaria to respond with a full mobilization order and a placement of the military into its highest level of combat readiness on the 2nd of the month. By -22.9.11, the T'Kiri Imperium had amassed all necessary forces and on the following day crossed into Fevaria.
Outcome
The most glaring and heartbreaking loss to the Kenjodan was the capture of their homeworld of Orassia and subsequent destruction of much of their physical history. Immediately following the conflict, the T'Kiri Empress would issue the Exemplar Mandate, condemning millions of Kenjodan to a life of slavery in Keevrik Exemplar Camp and other camps like it.
Historical Significance
Legacy
Touted as a stunning victory in the Imperium, and as a brutal defeat in Fevaria, the war set in motion the basis for all T'Kiri-Fevarian relations going forward. It is widely deduced and confirmed to a reasonable degree that the main fault of Fevaria's defense was them only having 2 years to get their military to a point where it could support a major interstellar war. The Imperium on the other hand, had been geared for total war since their initial discovery of warp technology.
Because of this, since the end of the war, the unofficial doctrine of the Fevarian armed forces has been described as: the ability to support a state of total war for an indefinite amount of time. Many presidents since Nali Manne have declared that Fevaria will never be caught unprepared ever again.

In Literature
Retribution Day was established as a holiday and celebrated every year in Fevaria as a reminder of their lost homeworld, being the host to many songs, poems, books, and movies. Many other planet-specific days of rememberance were also adopted, but not on a national level.
"Society would never be the same. Peace became a distant memory. Since that age, we forever stand on the brink of total war. And I am afraid for myself, for my wife, for my newborn great-grandson. If my time in the navy taught me one thing: it's that war... war is hell."
- Grand Admiral Vivai Jecen's response to being asked 'what the loss of Orassia meant to Kenjodan society', during an interview in 75 GE.
