Yyunafreya Basilicus

The Yyunafreya Basilicus is a sub-sect of the The Basilica and one of the two most popular religions of the Dreidas. It centres on the Dreidas divine Freya'Yyu.
The Yyunafreya saying of: "Zhanye huoyan pariskara te kainnhcain les," translates to: "The righteous flames cleanse all."

Assets

Unlike other major sects of the Basilica, the Yyunafreya Basilicus doesn't have an ingrained governing position within any nations of Ianna. With a complete separation from government and religion on the Dreidas home world, the Yyunafreya must get its assets from other means, and most of the time this means massive donations and tithes from its faithful. Altogether, the Yyunafreya is one of the richest sects in the galaxy.

Mythology & Lore

The main basis of the Yyunafreya Basilicus is its belief that the early explorer and diplomat Freya'Yyu was a divine of Solis. They believe that her destruction of the adjedecit at the edge of the Glass Traverse against the ///Nio was a sign that she was Solis' chosen.
Unlike other sects of the Basilica, Adje is not Solis' husband, but her wife who's been struck ill by the Abyss. It also tells of the daughters of Adje and Solis who joined their mother when she left Adje behind at the The Last Star.
Solis' daughters control the elements left behind after the destruction of the Last Pantheon; Hozhyia controls the air, Desta controls fire, Jullianas controls water, and Kyra controls the earth. Each daughter also represents different aspects of life such as love, war, and courage. It is also said that Solis and her daughters take on a more active role in the defense of Adje and the galaxy, fighting the abyss on every front they can.
The Yyunafreya tells us that the divines join Solis and her daughters in their fight against the abyss. As such, Freya'Yyu is regarded as mortal goddess, in addition to being the head of the Yyunafreya. Divines can also only be of a person capable of bearing life, disbarring other divines such divines from their pantheon.

Divine Origins

Following the death of Freya'Yyu after the ///Nio Relay Wars, Freya'Yyu passed into legend as a Dreidas hero, but had yet to become holy. It was only after the formal introduction of the Basilica by the ///Cressida that the Dreidas started piecing together similarities between the old and somewhat forgotten goddesses of the majority Dreidas religion and the story of Adje and Solis.
The Old Goddesses have since been lost, the most known is that they were paragons of natural spaces and also said to be lovers who created stars to fend off evil. The Yyunafreya started out small, often regarded as a simple means of appeasing their knew human allies. However over the years it started to gain traction as the Basilica picked up traction in other places.
