Two-thirds of the city's population die from a plague carried by black rats.
Poor crop growth south of Horn Hall diminishes the food sources for rats. Rats arrive via the Coastal Trail and by sea through Barmouth, infecting the city and introducing a bacterial contagion. Two of every three people die.
