Allyn
in Myddum
Allyn, called the Old, or Fastness of the Mountain Kings, resides in the north half of Myddum. Allyn is pronounced Al-Lynn, its adjective is Auldic and its demonym is Ald-Men. The Faith here is still thin, and they incorporate a great deal of Paganism into their religious practices. These hard-bitten, stubborn mountaineers make for a formidable infantry (pike formations), and they neither ask for nor grant mercy. Conversely, they make talented inventors and precision artisans, showcasing a brilliance with mechanical contrivances and clockworks. This region produces excellent cheese, glacier ice, musical instruments, wood molding, and assorted automatons. Allyn's patron saint is Gerneon the Rock.

Allyn's WorldviewOurs is an ancient people, older than the mountains we inhabit, and we value our traditions. We will not bend to the ways of the outside world, nor do we practice appeasement. Consequently, other peoples call us stubborn. Fine. Our ways are not open to debate. In Allyn, we take pride in producing fine things. We take the time to produce quality; we appreciate precision, and attention to detail is our hallmark. Hands are meant to be kept busy. It has often been said that Auldic people neither ask for nor grant mercy. That is true. We do nothing in half measures. When we go to war, we end things rightly.
