Aelerís Er'Olathe (ail-er-EES er-oh-LOTH)

Aelerís Er'Olathe is the firstborn son of Fiaéain IV, the Queen of Olathe. As the monarchy passes along the matrilineal line, Prince Aelerís never had any meaningful chance at inheriting the crown, for his sister, Crown Princess Fiaéain V, was born when he was only five years old. Nevertheless, Aelerís, like his siblings, received an unparalleled education in matters of diplomacy and etiquette as well as in academic pursuits. He began service in the Knights of the Scarlet Lotus when he was twenty-five years old, and he thrived within the formal structure of the knighthood. Since 704, he has served as the leader of the faction, bearing the title of Serene Master of Knights Scarlet.
Like his mother, Aelerís has married twice. His first marriage was arranged by his mother, who selected Lady Liamáea Uhl'Vaneuil, Margravine of Innismor, to be his wife. Liamáea has one child by Aelerís, a daughter named Aesánis. The marriage of Aelerís and Liamáea is a pragmatic affair: they are close and cordial but not in love. Aelerís' second marriage is to Chevalier Naeír na Caith, who is widely known to be Aelerís' only actual love. Naeír is almost two centuries older than Aelerís. He was recruited into the Knights of the Scarlet Lotus in his youth, and he rose through the ranks over time; he was Aelerís’ mentor and instructor for many of the early years of the prince’s service as a Scarlet Knight.
