Feywood Circle

A major druidic circle in Vandor. Not all members are druids, the membership also includes rangers, fey beings such as dryads, and Elves that were born into the families of people already in the circle. They venerate the great Tree of Sgoinneil Crann and listen when the tree chooses it's Keeper.
The Feywood Circle began as a small group of druids before the arrival of men in Vestri. The circle found Sgoinneil Crann and sought after it's well being, which they still do to this day. Today the Feywood circle has grown into the largest circle of druids in Vestri, they also make up the governing body of Vandor. The feywood circle's responsibilities have grown as well, they care after the entire forest and its people.
Due to the circle becoming so vast, an inner circle was put in place to better facilitate meetings. The inner circle is made of 9 chosen members of the Feywood Circle, including the Keeper. Usually all 9 members are Arch-Druids, though rangers and powerful fey spirits have also made it into the inner circle rarely in the past. Members are chosen for individual merit and not by circumstance of birth. While the Keeper is made known by the Circle they do not choose them, the Great Tree does, the circle does however does choose their Speaker. The Speaker organizes circle meetings and business to discuss.
The "Noble" Families of Vandor all can claim lineage from high ranking druids that belong to the circle or have belonged to the circle.

Structure

The Keeper is the Tree's chosen and thus the leader of the Feywood circle.
All other members of the circle are deemed equal, including non-druids, with an unofficial hierarchy based on age and individual accomplishments. The only official "rank" was that of the Speaker, or Spokesperson. The circle discussed and reached conclusions as a whole, and while anyone was free to live it at any time, the members acted as one for the good of all elves. Members of the inner circle are not above the other members, they are expected to represent the people as a whole.
