Nephirion (NA-FAIR-E-ON)
One of the chief city-states in the Underdark. Many races with aversion to sunlight live here including Drow, Shadar-Kai, and Duergar. The city is located in the Upperdark, deep under the west coast of Vandor and is the closest Underdark city to the surface world. Nephirion has friendly relations with Vandor above and elven races of the Underdark are allowed into the forest with no restrictions, though local citizens do see the Underdark elves as being outsiders.
The architecture of Nephirion is unique. Many structures are built into the natural environment such as stalactites, natural cave pillars, and walls. The main government building is built into the largest pillar and the city was built around it.
The drow of Nephirion have abandoned worship of Lolth.
