Dianekt

Our Lady

Dianekt is the Aran goddess of Healing and medicine. She has a close relationship with Arawn as she believes none should die before their time. Her temples, often with attached hospitals, are located in all major cities and towns, and her priests and priestesses are highly respected for their knowledge and skills. She is especially popular among those who are sick or injured, as she is said to be able to heal any wound or illness. Her temples are always open to those in need, and her priests and priestesses are always ready to help.

Divine Domains

Dianekt's domain is of healing, life and medicine. Beyond that, is of care, aid, health and sanity. Understandably, Dianekt has a high number of Cleric followers. She has a major Temple in Ebrion, which also functions as a hospital, The Hospital of Our Lady Dianekt. Clerics of other deities also pay respect to Dianekt for her help in healing works. Her influence is such that her colour of Oak & Mistletoe leaf green has come to be a widely recognised symbol of medicine and medical care, especially on the battlefield. It is from this battlefield association that she has also gained the dominion of peace, asylum and armistice. Those wishing peace on the battlefield may wave a flag the colour of the mistletoe berry, white. Dianekt has also spread, through the study of medicine, to include some dominion in science and chemistry.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Dianekt is symbolised by local healing plants, one of white and one of green - in Ebrion it is the Oak Leaf and Mistletoe berry. In Ancient Alagria, it was hemp and the opium poppy. As such, green and white are the colours of Armistice or healers on the battlefield.
