Kingsdown Family

The Kingsdown family is a fairly powerful noble family in Ebrion. 
The Kingsdown's hold a great secret - that their wealth and power is due to a blood-debt to the Crimson Order. In every generation, a Kingsdown is debt-born - owed to the order of bloodhunters. Failure to comply is threatened with abject failure and poverty.
Baern Kingsdown engineered the marriage of his least favourite daughter, Marsiya Kingsdown, to a minor noble from Milagon, Teyrn Kingsdown, in order to produce a debt-born heir, Jed Kingsdown.
