The Spicers

The Spicers' Guild (more commonly known as just 'The Spicers') is a powerful Milagonian guild, or cartel, that controls the trade with the Spice Islands.

History

Paragan’s wealth and prosperity is owed to its investment in ship building and the vast amount of trade that pass through its enormous harbour. This wealth was reinvested into exploration through the combined efforts of the Cartographer’s Guild and the Merchant’s Alliance, which would later become known as the Spicer’s Guild, after the discovery and colonization of the Spice Islands. The discovery of exotic spices and other goods, such as sugar and vanilla, were a commercial revolution and cemented Paragan as one of the most prosperous cities in all of Ara.
