The hot-headed, don't-take-shit-from-no-one branch head of the Blue Lion Merchant Guild in Leeves, Lerissa has exactly the kind of reputation that someone of her appearance might have, and she revels it. She is the woman in charge of Leeves' trade with surrounding towns and exports to Einhel and beyond and although she doesn't always act it, she is damn good at her job. Lerissa appears to have a fascination and love for all things shiny and golden, as demonstrated by bother the outrageous amount of accessories she wears on her person, and the number of trinkets and shiny knick-knacks she keeps in her office at the back of the Blue Lion Merchant Guild. Based on the collection of items in her office, she appears to be a seasoned adventurer and explorer as well.
Lerissa is first encountered by the party when they arrive in Leeves following their awakening in Cassapia Forest. Seeking to purchase supplies, they find their way to the Blue Lion Merchant Guild, where they meet its tiefling branch head. Though at first irritated by their arrival, Lerissa eventually warms up to the group due to the presence of Kali Thorne with them - the two had previous dealings during Kali's earlier visits to the village. Later, Lerissa lent an honest and eager ear to Felwinter's story of his peculiar visions, and endeavored to do what she could to defend the town, including assisting the party in rescuing Serim Tealeaf from a pack of ravenous Daemon wolves.
Though Lerissa was not present for the confrontation with the young green dragon Valimar, she took care of Grace as he dealt with the side-effects of his abilities, both as his friend and his Keeper. She stayed behind in Leeves while the party of adventurers joined Vanessa and Stroth on their journey to Einhel City.
Physical Description
Lerissa is tall and lean, with slightly wider hips and thighs and smaller shoulders and chest. Though not the most curvaceous, she makes up for it in exotic appearance. As a tiefling of Asmodeus' bloodline, she has naturally red skin, with curved ram horns on her head that are a darker shade of red than her skin. Her eyes are golden and her sclera are black. She also has a tail, which she expertly uses to swipe small trinkets or trip up people with. Her hair is a dark brown, buzz cut on the left side and left long on the right. She wears simple leathers, practical and comfortable, but it is her accessories that draw the most attention. She loves shiny things, gold especially, and aside from a multitude of bangles, bracelets, anklets, neck decorations, and facial piercings, she also wears a number of accessories on her horns, seemingly unafraid to put them on full display. She even wears golden bands on her tail.
Lerissa was once a thief by profession and although she now leads a more honest life, she has not given up any of the skills she picked up back then. She specializes in ambush tactics, lashing out and getting out of reach, using her enemy's distracted state against them to quickly and easily strike from the blind spot. Although she is most accustomed to single combat, she works well with the people she trusts - Grace, Stroth, and Morgan especially. Though she does not possess any supernatural abilities like some of her allies do, she can hold her own in a fight and is a stubborn, persistent threat that is not afraid to fight dirty.
Social
Despite not being a native of Leeves, Lerissa quickly formed close bonds with not only Grace Ashclaw, but also Morgan D'Evon, Alistair Hyarms, and Stroth Youngflame. Her and Vanessa Hyarms never got along all that well, but they agree to keep out of the way of each-other for the sake of peace among their other friends. Lerissa and Grace are especially close, as she is not only privy to the secret of his time with Polarus, but also acts as his Keeper - a duty she does not take lightly and does not enjoy talking about.
Lerissa is the local branch head of the Blue Lion Merchant Guild in Leeves and, as such, commands respect among merchants and other Guild members. She has a reputation for being harsh but fair with payments. While she is not particularly high up in the chain of command, she does have several acquaintances within the merchant trade that she can contact.
Lerissa has no known family. There were no family pictures noted among her possessions, and she makes no mention of having any familial ties inside or outside of Leeves.
History
Grace first met Lerissa during his stay in Testa-Rossa while on a family trip. She was a pickpocket then, and endeavored to try and steal from him, seeing the foreign visitor as an easy target. Then, the ground shook as the balor Barrimor attacked the city. With Grace's parents nowhere in sight, he and the young tiefling that had just tried to rob him were left to fend for themselves. When the smoke cleared and Grace found himself parentless, Lerissa followed, claiming that he had saved her life and thus she owed him. She continued to follow him from that point on, through his initiation into Polarus, through the fights with undead and the painful side-effects of his powers. She became his Keeper, swearing to end his life if he became a monster, and later returned to Leeves with him to settle down into the kind of life she had never known. They remain close to this day.
