Overview
Realm of the gods of magic, Baara and Atetsis, the Weaveheart is a flowing plane of energy and dust, mostly full of empty space and clouds of magic dust. As the conduit of magical energy for the entire planar system of Aralla, the Weaveheart is the main focus of research for planar scholars and summoners, who use the raw energy pulled from it to form summoned creatures. Theorized to be the source of Etherium and Etherium Winds, it grows in massive quantities on naturally forming islands and is fiercely sought by mortals and outsiders alike.
Planar Traits
- Objective Directional Gravity
- Timeless: Age, hunger, thirst, afflictions (such as diseases, curses, and poisons), and natural healing don’t function in the Weaveheart, though they resume functioning when the traveler leaves the Weaveheart.
- Realm immeasurable
- Structural lasting (although there is little on this plane to alter)
- Essence mixed
- Mildly Neutral-Aligned
- Enhanced Magic: All spells and spell-like abilities used within the Weaveheart may be employed as if they were improved by the Quicken Spell or Quicken Spell-Like Ability feats. Already quickened spells and spell-like abilities are unaffected, as are spells from magic items. Spells so quickened are still prepared and cast at their unmodified level. As with the Quicken Spell feat, only one quickened spell or spell-like ability can be cast per round.
Denizens of the Weaveheart
Shulsaga - Shulsagas live in a simple but far from primitive hunter society, based around drifting villages that float upon stray chunks of elemental detritus and astral protomatter. They often train the massive beasts of their native plane (such as astral leviathans) to pull and defend their unfettered homes. Because shulsagas endlessly face the deadly beings that travel the Weaveheart, most communities attack strangers rather than risking their lives trying to distinguish friends from foes. Shulsagas speak a raspy dialect of Auran.
Githyanki - The githyanki, not native to the plane, have been a dominating presence for long ages, ruled from their great city of Tu'narath but mostly spread about innumerable fortresses.
Magimental - Often, when isolated or powerfully charged places in the Weaveheart are threatened or disturbed in planar storms, usually dormant magical energies will conglomerate and defend their territory much in the same elemental forces do.
Elohim - The powerful elohim are virtually silent about their own origins, yet according to legend they are the source of life on countless worlds throughout the cosmos, as well as using the nearly unlimited energies of the Weaveheart to create demiplanes and seed life in them. Groups of Elohim have been said to gather on very rare occurrences to create entirely new planes, leaving portals behind wherever they do so, and then seeding them with life and abandoning them entirely.
